WHIRL #97

For Sunday Whirl: Prophets, Stealing, Patience, Discipline, Limits, Gazing, Tears, Fly, Sublime, Pieces, Heroic, Moment.

LOW PROFILE

In the words of the prophets...

"Stealing the limelight is wrong"
"Patience is a virtue" and
"Discipline is paramount"

But of course there are limits
Gazing into space all day
Can reduce a man to tears

Fly in the ointment follows
(Sublime to ridiculous)...
"My head is in pieces now..."

Not a heroic moment!

  2. It is hard trying to be perfect. Probably better to stay as I am following that low profile of yours.

  5. You start with the prophets and end with un-heroes or anti-heroes, or whatever they are. I think I'm more in the latter category than in the former, as, I suspect, are most of us!

  7. nice one. Low profile is usually the best solution... but I think you had a heroic go at the wordle and came up with something cool.

  8. Thanks for your visits. I fear the battle is still a long way off.
Flies can be sticky little bugs.

Defining what a hero is and is not - should not the place of the media. I think we are all heroes to someone.

  14. Discipline, misdirected, will indeed end in tears. We would all do well to remember this.

  16. A sad tale, Stan. Excellent use of the word "heroic", which I found impossible to use. In fact, I found the words particularly difficult this week. But you have written a seamless poem here.

  17. cool use of the wordle, although feels like it is hitting a little close to home...i tend to ignore the prophets.
